What if momentum actually feels like breathing room?

I think the word "momentum" has a PR problem.

(Because when most of us hear it, we immediately feel tired.)

We think "momentum" means we have to hustle harder. We assume it means white-knuckling our way through a massive to-do list and squeezing even more productivity out of a schedule that's already exhausted.

It makes sense why we think that. But here’s the truth: Momentum doesn't come from force.

In fact, pushing harder when you're already empty is exactly what creates that frustrating start-stop cycle that leads straight to burnout.

We don't rise to the level of our goals; we fall to the level of our systems.

That's why the Momentum Reset isn't a lecture on how to "grind" more effectively. It's a compassionate pause.

We aren’t there to squeeze more into your overflowing calendar. We’re there to clear the mental noise so you can find a direction that actually feels doable.

It’s about alignment...not more activity.

So let me ask you:

Where are you trying to force progress right now?

What would happen if you stopped trying to do more, and instead focused on doing what's aligned?

As the saying goes from a former Disney executive (same guy who coined "think outside the box", so he probably knew a thing or two) :

"Slowing down is sometimes the best way to speed up."

You don't have to fix everything today. But you can choose to step out of the overwhelm.

If you're ready to build momentum without pressure, burnout, or hustle culture, I would love to link arms with you at our next Momentum Reset LIVE in St. Louis.

This is a live, in-person, full-day workshop. If you crave connection and fully unplugging from your day-to-day in a retreat-style environment (with lunch on us!), this is exactly where we start.

Let me know if this hits home. You can grab your spot right here.

Love doing life with you,

Dawn

Why your current progress feels so messy
We love to talk about the beginning of a journey—setting the goal, feeling the motivation, and getting started. And we certainly love to celebrate the finish line. (Well, when we see it and acknowledge it, that is. A lot of us ignore it and just keep going, but that's another story for another day.) But what about the space in between? In my very first 'Do Life Together' newsletter video, I tal...
She had to pivot (fast)
Happy summer!  I know, I know—we're right in the thick of July, so you're probably thinking, “Dawn, girl, we've been here...get caught up.” But we just kicked off the third quarter, and let’s be honest: Q3 landing smack in the middle of summer is a perfect storm. If you have kids, they’re home from school or running off to camps. You’re unpacking from one vacation or frantically packing for the...
Routines, turmoil, and clean sheets
Have you ever been the person who thought every single week was supposed to look exactly the same? If I just vacuum on Monday... If I just make those 15 biz dev phone calls on Tuesday... If I always see my chiropractor the third Wednesday of the month... (By the way, I see my chiropractor on Mondays. I am absolutely this person—I love a good schedule and a solid routine.)  But what happens duri...
