Life sabotaging what you want?
"I feel like I'm back to January 1st."
That's what a client said to me earlier this week.
"The kids are back to school and I can get back to functioning."
We like to think our personal lives don't have an impact on our work. But the reality is, it's all directly linked.
It's SO easy to get out of momentum. You climb that big hill, you get to the top and get a glimpse of the amazing views you worked so hard to get...
...and then a gust of wind comes and you start sliiiiding back down the mountain.
🫠 "Oh, hang on. Kids are out of school."
🫠 "Oh, hang on. So-and-so quit their job."
🫠 "Oh, hang on. There's been a big change in the business."
🫠 And of course, a couple of years ago: "Oh, hang on. A pandemic."
Stuff happens. It's ALWAYS coming at us. The rest of the world is never going to wait just because you have stuff you wanna do.
I mention this because...
1) We have to figure out how to stay in momentum even when all these pattern interrupts are coming, and
2) Once a quarter I offer something called Momentum Reset, that helps you do exactly that.

Life gets busy.
Something else becomes a bigger priority.

Well? A lot of that comes down to how we're actively managing our time.
Who or what is really in charge of your time? (Hint: It's probably not you. Just sayin'.)
Here's a little litmus test:
Does your phone ever go off with notifications and texts, causing you to stop what you're doing?
Answer for real now. 🤨
Because if it does, you're losing out on the 20-23+ minutes it takes you to get back on task. Every. time.
If your phone takes you off task just 3X a day, that means you're losing an HOUR a day. (That's FIVE hours a week...and if we're real, we know it's going off more than that.)
Just think of how much time you're losing to...nothing. A black hole, gobbling up those precious hours.
Don't you want to put those 5+ hours to better use? Making more money, getting that stalled project up and running...heck, taking time off.
