Did this 'holiday' get to you already?

Happy new year -- coming in with a late but important new year's greeting AND reminder.

Because the other day I saw that there's a little something called 'Quitter's Day' on January 10th.

That—get this—most people have given up on their resolutions, goals, and dreams by the. 10th. of. January.

This you?

A lot of people I've been talking with lately feel like they've already been punched in the gut a couple of times in this new year.

It's easy to throw in the towel and just say...

  • "I've already missed the timeline."
  • "This just isn't going to be my year."
  • "This wasn't the right goal."
  • "I guess this just isn't happening."

So if this is you, this is your wakeup call:

DON'T GIVE UP.

The beginning of the year is just an arbitrary timeline.

Perseverance is what pays.

Regroup now, and you won't even remember that you flubbed the first couple weeks of the year.

And if you do remember, you'll feel all the more powerful for having reset your momentum and soldiered on.

We CAN pivot! Don't lie to yourself and believe that you can't.

By the way, if you really want to make sure you don't fall victim to another false start, join me for my Momentum Reset workshop on February 6th.

I'll be helping you create measurable steps and actionable items to fuel your momentum and get you to your goals.

Whether you join me or not, here's one tip think about when doing your own momentum reset...

Don't let this 'holiday' get to you

Don't. just. hope.

Put action steps in place.

If I drink a gallon of water a day, my body is super happy.

So one of the things I do to get my water in every day is set alarms on my phone to go off at 10:00a, 12:00p, and 2:00p.

Those are reminders to suck down the water in my bottle and fill it up again, so I can get all my water in for the day and feel fantastic

If I just drank arbitrarily throughout the day and hoped I got through a gallon of water, I wouldn't get the same results.

So if you've given up on your goals already, or are off to a rocky start, or you think you've missed some sort of timeline...

Let's set some new timelines, with action steps to make sure we follow through.

You can pivot with me live at my Momentum Reset workshop on Thursday February 6th in Chesterfield, MO to make sure you have all the pieces in place.

But whether you join me or not, replay and let me know what you are (or were) excited about for 2025!

Saying it out loud helps it live again.

Pivot!

Dawn

PS - If you're not able to join, consider that someone else in your life may also be struggling with their own Quitter's Day and be sure to forward them this email!

Landing doesn't mean you can't relaunch
A client once sent me a testimonial, and in it they said... "When you start a journey and you don't have direction, you may never reach your destination." Makes sense, right? Yet so often in business and in life, we start a journey without a direction. We get ideas from the ether. Or a podcast. Or a book. Or maybe some friends or colleagues start doing something, and it looks like it's work...
My đź‘˝ wants to know about you
Picture this: You've had a really long day. You get home, and head down to the basement to drop some things off in your home office. Your puppy's in the lead, and rounds the corner before you can... ...And starts barking up a storm. You just got home. You're tired. You're hungry. And now you're looking around for some sort of melee weapon and wondering who you're going to have to do battle w...
The secret to stop breaking up with opportunities
Have you ever struggled with confidence? Maybe in yourself, maybe even in others. Confidence is a game changer, but just saying "believe in yourself" isn't helpful. So how do you handle things when your confidence dips? I'll be real. I used to 'break up' with people. Or opportunities. I'd back away from opportunities, maybe even end a friendship or relationship, or just peace out and stop...
